GETTING TO MULL
By car, there are a number of routes you can take to get to the Isle of Mull. The most popular crossing to the island is from the town of Oban, known as 'The Gateway to the Isles'. From Oban, you can catch the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Craignure, which takes 45 mins. From there, Torloisk is a 30 minute drive across the Island.
If you're coming from the east coast, Edinburgh, or the South, you'll need to travel through Glasgow. There's a regular direct train to Oban from Glasgow Queen Street Station, and it takes just over 3 hours.
There are no direct flights to the Isle of Mull. Travellers must fly first to Glasgow International Airport and continue their journey via train or bus to Oban, where ferries leave for Craignure on the Isle of Mull.
The most direct ferry route to Mull is Caledonian MacBrayne from Oban to Craignur which takes 45 minutes. Vehicle reservations are recommended. You can also get to Mull from Lochaline to Fishnish and Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula to Tobermory. No advance booking is necessary on these sailings.
